Giant Gingerbread House

The Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, Michigan hosted an eight-foot tall giant gingerbread house made of delicious treats. The homemade treat is in the lobby of this beautiful hotel.

Giant Gingerbread House

This is my second year visiting the life-sized gingerbread house display at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, Michigan. This giant gingerbread house stands about eight feet tall covered in goodies that took over 580 hours of “Tender Loving Care” to create. The details are incredible from candycanes to glitter snowflakes and elves hiding around the display. People flocked to the lobby of the Royal Park Hotel to see this masterpiece.

Gingerbread Recipe:

220 cups of Sugar
300 lbs of Gingerbread Mix
110 cups of Powered Sugar
90 Gallons of Water
240 Eggs
270 lbs of Holiday Candy
104 Whirley Pops
580 hours of TLC

Inside the gingerbread house was a toy room with a beautiful tree and ornaments hanging from the top. Tiny elves are found in the fence, hanging in the toy room & looking in the window.

You can visit the giant gingerbread house in the lobby of The Royal Park Hotel any time now through January 5, 2013. The hotel lobby smells absolutely wonderful!
