I really enjoyed the opportunity to enrich my wine culture by trying new flavors from a different country. There are many moments I could mention but I would like to express of my favorite experiences in Capri. I went to dinner with two of the gals from our study abroad group at this nice pasta and pizzeria. I asked to try a pink blush wine, the waiter brought a glass of Pink Moscato. His accent was so fascinating to listen too, I could let him talk all day. I loved the way Italians talked to each other. The motions of their hands and the annunciation of words; it was such a fantastic listen. I cannot recall the year of the bottle but it was nice addition with my pasta ravioli. The wine bottle had a red seal with white wrap around the center. The smell was fresh peaches and oranges that smelled like spring. I enjoyed taking a bite of my pasta and sip of this wine during our fabulous dinner. I couldn’t believe how fast I finished the wine. If the cost of a glass of wine in Capri wasn’t so expensive; I would have asked for another, haha. I didn’t like the cost of everything, Europe is so expensive. This sweet wine left a smile across my face when I finished my pasta. I wish I was back in the same moment enjoying the delicious pink blush.
Wine Tasting Tour at Il Saraceno
I really enjoyed the opportunity to enrich my wine culture by trying new flavors from a different country. Our wine tasting experience in Capri was held in remote restaurant called Il Sarentino. To sit in this restaurant, customers were required to pay a cover fee. Our tour guide had a fabulous, thick accent that was so soft to listen as he explained the differences in each wine. My favorite wine was the Tiberio, which is an organic wine. The wine bottle had a red seal with a dark wrap around the center. The smell was fresh peaches and oranges that smelled like spring. I enjoyed taking a bite of the formaggio cheese after each sip of this wine during our wine tasting. This sweet wine left a smile across my face. I enjoyed the atmosphere of our wine tasting experience. Each group sat in tables of 4, the cheese platters were brought out first for our tour to begin. Each wine had a complimentary cheese, bread or desert that would accommodate the fresh flavor tied into every bottle. Our wine tasting adventure in Capri has been a moment I will never forget sharing on my study abroad trip.
