A Tapas Bistro and Cafe

Welcome to the most unique dining venue in downtown Grand Rapids, MI – a blend of European and Mediterranean cuisine in a fun and artful atmosphere.

This is one of my favorite breakfast joints in the city of Grand Rapids. I enjoy it so much because there is always a good mixture of people, the food is unique and artwork is surrounding the place. I discovered they changed the layout a bit – the opposite side of the hallway where I would originally sit for breakfast in the past, is now only utilized for private parties and corporate events. I was bummed, at first, because I enjoyed staring out the window to people watch as they strolled past the busy streets of GR.

I started my breakfast experience with a press coffee pot of french vanilla. It was enriched with french vanilla flavor, so GOOD!

I ordered a delicious egg sandwich with their known papas (?) potatoe type side.

I admire the festive colors across the restaurant because I feel inspired at every corner. I enjoy the tall beams to provide that wide open floor plan. There is even a second floor for additional seating!

I highly recommend visiting San Chez in Grand Rapids to share plates with a few friends or family. It is worth it!
