What it means to be a digital nomad at Dojo Bali

Dojo Bali is a community of coworkers located in the heart of Canggu. There are many coworkers that travel for a living to fulfill their dreams – we call these individuals “digital nomads” – A digital nomad, in my opinion, is a person with the luxury and flexibility to work anywhere in the world – a coffee shop, beach front, top of a mountain (well-maybe not) but just anywhere.

At Dojo Bali, I have experienced some of the most memorable moments in my life by developing relationships with other people from around the world.

What is my favorite thing about Dojo Bali

I enjoy attending the seminars, presentations, and classes. There are multiple events per week on subjects like search engine optimization, pay per click, email marketing, presenting in public and much more. Here is a glimpse of a social media session that I held at Dojo Bali — more than 60 attendees! Wow.

Why Community Is Important

You don’t have to feel alone especially when starting something new. There are many mixed emotions when deciding what you really want in life.. what inspires you to wake up in the morning. I can come to this coworking space, Dojo Bali so I could surround myself with individuals that will lift me up. I researched the space in advance, watched videos on other digital nomads and tried to be involved as much as possible. I found like-minded individuals with the same aspirations – drive, success and sacrifice.

1. Community allows you to be a part of something bigger.. something unexpected. When you have a community of people, there is so much love and support. It’s endless. This support group is unlike anything that I’ve ever experienced in my life
2. Community makes actions speak louder than words. There are supportive individuals in a community that will help you – grow, build, aspire – whatever it may be. Community can make things happen for you.
3. Community to me… means coming together. Even though, we are all from all parts of the world with different belief systems, religions and upbringings … when we are together; we are united. How beautiful is that?
