Tacos & Tattoos

My friends and I found a place in Bali that gives out free tattoos on TACO Tuesday! Deus reminded me of a biker bar back in America. When you approach Deus Bali, you are surrounded by scooters parked everywhere. In the very front of the restaurant area, you notice more custom bikes – which were beautifully made! In the back of Deus was a small skate ramp where young people were skating during the day. As you walk through the restaurant, you are presented with a bike shop for custom rides, surfboards, clothes – the whole nine yards!

How To Get A Tattoo at Deus:

There are rules that apply to be given a FREE tattoo and here they are:

• you must be one of the 16 people in line first
• tattoos will be created within 20 minutes
• you need to buy a ticket when signing up
  • the ticket ensures that you paid for a taco platter
• you exchange the ticket to the tattoo artist and BAM — Tat, Tat, Tat It Up

I chose my design based on a reference in my bedroom. There were beautiful flower designs painted on a board above the headrest. It’s a Bali flower!

The tacos were delicious! I couldn’t snap a good photo because of the lighting but take my word for it – some of the best food I’ve had in Bali.

As you can see, I’m the first one on the list! Thank you to the manager at Deus, he gladly placed my name at the top so I wasn’t trampled in the huge crowd that waited for a tattoo.

My tattoo artist didn’t speak English but that’s okay – he was so great! I taught him a few words while he created this masterpiece. The shading is on point! I can’t believe this was created in 20 minutes, wow!
