Melissa DiVietri graduated with New Media and Graphic Media Management with an emphasis in graphic design at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. Having developed her skills through her coursework and experience in the business publishing environment with a summer internship at advertising firm The Garage Team Mazda, DiVietri’s passion is creating beautiful art visuals with print and design.

DiVietri’s creativity doesn’t stop when she steps out from behind her MacBook Pro; once a week, she broadcasts a weekly radio show, creating new music using a mixer and broadcasting online through a web stream in the studio.

“My passion is in art and music; I believe something magical can be created with the right sound and perfect visuals,” explains DiVietri.

Around the Ferris State campus, DiVietri is known as an advocate for scholarship funding who has traveled with university President David Eisler to testify in legislative hearings. She also serves as a student employee specializing in new media to a variety of departments, in addition to her service as an orientation leader, student ambassador, member of the Student Alumni Gold Club and Ferris’ Brutus the Bulldog mascot’s “dog handler.”

DiVietri also participates in several social and human interest clubs on campus, helping organize an on-campus Dance Marathon to benefit No More Sidelines, a local organization dedicated to helping disabled children participate in after-school activities, in Spring 2011.

DiVietri has completed her degrees and will be traveling the world and network with like-minded designers. She currently resides in Metro Detroit.
