Very good pictures of the top of Capri. Our study abroad group took a chairlift to the top of the island. The chairlift seats one person and is strung by a wire all the way to the top, maybe a 10-15 minute ride. The ride was peaceful, we floated on top of houses, gardens, trees – it was a dream coming to life.
I am terrified of heights, but happy I made myself overcome the fear to see this view.
The Romans would perch on the top of the island to watch for invaders.. everything was cobblestone and rough walking. Let me tell ya, what a ride! The sky was so blue, you could see for miles.. all the islands from a distance and the caves.
