Up high in the sky, flying over Roma, Italia! The plane ride was terribly long, 1 1/2 hrs for the flight to Boston. The second flight lasted over 7 overs to the airport in Rome. The sky was clear, clouds were giant cotton balls and the mountains glistened beside the water.
I flew Delta to utilize my resources, Sky Miles!
The airplane hosted dinner and breakfast && all you can-ask-for vine, which is wine! Most of the flight attendants assumed persons spoke Italian, so I would use a few short phrases to say “Para no poco Italiano” – I only speak a little Italian OR “Para Ingles” – Do you speak English? I mean, it works.. I was too tired to attempt to say the correct phrases for the order.
The plane was huge! First class was incredible ;] very comfy, I slept about 3.5 hours.
Now that I made it to Rome, my wheelchair assistance persons were so funny. The way Italians talk to each other, with their hand gestures & their voice raises every time. It was entertaining to watch the assistants talk to one another because it looked like they were having small argument.
I arrived at 6:45 AM, with 3 hours to spare until the first group goes to the hotel. I grabbed my first cup of Cappuccino from Italy !! SO GOOD!
I look so tired but I was glowing the entire time. I ‘people-watched’ every single person walking out of the Termini (Terminals). I practiced my phrases on random people sitting in the ristorante (restaurant). Well.. funny story, I asked this couple in Italian ‘How do you say “I do not understand, please repeat,” in Italian’ — the couple didnt understand what I was saying but replied in English — “We are from Sweden, but you are doing just fine!” haha
