I’m grateful to be collaborating with the wonderful team at Jackson School of the Arts to support youth literacy, creativity, and conversations around kindness and inclusion. Community spaces like this play an important role in helping young people explore both the arts and storytelling in ways that spark imagination and empathy. 💛
As part of this collaboration, I’ve donated copies of my book, A Tale of a Service Animal: A Heartwarming Tale of Disability Awareness, Friendship, and Kindness — Includes Coloring Activity, so that students and families can experience the story together. The book introduces children to the role of service animals while encouraging curiosity, compassion, and respect for people living with disabilities. 🐾📖
Storytime Visit in March
I’ll be dropping in for a special storytime reading this March where we’ll gather together to read A Tale of a Service Animal. These visits are always interactive and welcoming, allowing children to ask questions and learn about service animals, disability awareness, and kindness toward others. ✨
Storytime typically includes:
• A live reading of the book 📖
• A short Q&A conversation with students 💬
• A coloring activity inspired by the story 🎨
• A discussion about inclusion, friendship, and respect 🌎
As a uniquely abled artist and storyteller, I love creating a comfortable space where students can sit around, ask questions freely, and engage with the story in a meaningful way.
Returning for Fairy Festival 🧚♀️
I’ll also be returning to Jackson School of the Arts for their Fairy Festival on Saturday, April 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. This event is always full of creativity, imagination, and community fun, and I’m excited to be part of the celebration.
