313 Digital hosted their 10th Anniversary at the Magic Bag in Ferndale, MI. This event was an 80’s themed party to celebrate 10 years of industry collaboration.
The night started off with LIVE music from an 80’s Cover Band who rocked the house. The venue had small finger food to fill you up – meatballs, corndogs and old school candy. Of course, my favorite part of 313 Digital events is meeting up with industry friends that I haven’t seen in awhile. I try to never miss a 313 Digital event because it becomes difficult to get all of us together.
I was surprised to see some of my friends come in from Chicago! I couldn’t believe it — and she was the first person I ran in to! What a great way to start off the night. My best friend Len, graphic designer of MODE Detroit, brought me to the event. I had car trouble this week with flat tires and everyone was booked to replace the
I’ve never been to Magic Bag in Ferndale… however I thought it was an excellent choice of venue for a 10th Anniversary Party – go out with a bang. It was a bit difficult to network or even talk to anyone because of the loudness. The bar was overcrowded because it was the only place to hear people. I hope that next year, it is a two level venue like the year before. Only because I want the opportunity to network, catch up with friends and not have to yell. Sorry to be a Debbie downer – but I saw a lot of people drop off in the first hour because of the loudness — I didn’t have a voice the next day. After a few drinks, I don’t think anyone really cared anyway.. Yell away! ahha .. We carried the party on after the venue by going a few blocks to another place in Ferndale – more personable.
