If you tell them in advance by 24 hours that you want to cancel.. This is true if you are a skymiles member or use a booking service to arrange your flights – you must have travel insurance to make the process easier when cancelling.

I just lost on a flight last weekend because we did not cancel enough in advance — actually there was no heads up that we were not making the flight. I think my heart went into my stomach during that moment.

I filed a claim with the processing department so hopefully they will hear me out — that would be nice to recoup that loss of flight tickets so I can have another adventure this year.. maybe go somewhere for the weekend for my birthday in November or a special trip to a different country for New Years. I will be returning to Europe in three weeks.. I was in Spain, Dublin & Amsterdam this year.. I absolutely loved the Netherlands! I knew I would — Im in love with the Dutchhhhh.

I had the most incredible experiences in Amsterdam this year.. I would love to drop back for ADE – and visit my friends at Techno Tuesday Amsterdam.

Flight Status Check

My pup needs a European passport to fly into the EU.. This is not an easy thing to obtain, there’s a lot of paperwork that you have to investigate with different types of vets.

I consulted with my agency in Medellin who said the fly process from Colombia dogs is 3 month wait period but that cant be correct if the APHIS has a 21 day wait period.

Anyway, a long story cut down into a short version– I started packing my things to go back to America to have my pup checked out and cleared for travel.. but that would cause losing my epic high rise in Medellin.. and all the things that are holding me together right now. I found a place in Atlanta that can expedite the signature process in two days.. after I have her microchip. So I cancelled the flight to Detroit to avoid the extra flying time for my pup.. and save money after losing the flight last weekend. Im not made of money, people. I work very hard for all the things that are in my life.
