The adventures never seem to end in Sunny California. I went to the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa.
Let me say, the travel was quite the distance on a weekend. The OCTA bus transportation is horribly slow. I left my apartment at 11:30 AM; after grabbing my favorite breakfast at this tiny bagel shop across the way. I arrived at Eastbluff & Jamboree a-quarter-to Noon. The next bus didnt come for 25 minutes and the stop to wait for the bus was walking a half mile. I trotted to the 55 bus route on Jamboree and waited for the next arrival. In prospective, the distance between the fairgrounds and my apartment is a little under 12 miles. <Yeah, no kidding.’
I was going to meet my party around 1PM near the entrance. I thought, great, I am doing awesome on timing – I’m early still. The 55 bus scooped me up around 12:08PM and we were off. I got off at Red Hill & Bristol.. and couldn’t believe I still had to walk 2.8 miles to the fairgrounds. I was so tired after the first walk to the transfer bus. I phoned my party and let them know it would take awhile to get to the fairgrounds. With my luck; I arrived shortly around 1:15PM. My party still didn’t arrive; sadly they hadn’t left the house yet. I was discouraged to making plans again with them because it is a horrible trouble to run around the town without a vehicle. After their late arrival, I kicked into high gear mode and decided to enjoy myself. Although it may be a character flaw for people to make plans and than arrive late without notice; I was ready to make the most out of my expedition. I feel like Napoleon Bonaparte sometimes with all my adventures.
