Walking by Faith: Life with Sacral Agenesis
When I was born, doctors had a lot to say. They listed what I might not do. What I’d miss out on. What wouldn’t work “normally.” But what they didn’t account for was faith—pure, stubborn, unshakable faith. The kind that moves mountains… or wheels, or forearm crutches.
I live with sacral agenesis—a rare condition where my lower spine didn’t fully form. Sounds intense, I know. And sure, it comes with a few twists in the road, but I’ve been paving my own path since day one.
Built Differently, Blessed Entirely
The way I see it, I’m not broken. I was just built with intention. Every part of me, every challenge, every adaptation—it’s all part of a greater design. My body may do things differently, but my spirit? Oh, it’s undefeated.
I don’t walk the way most folks do. But believe me—I get where I need to go. Whether it’s through city streets or across continents, I’ve never let wheels or wobbly doors stop me. My life rolls forward because I’ve got a mission, and no disability can dim what God put inside me.
Tools, Not Limitations
I’ve got gear. Wheelchair. Crutches. Mobility scooter. Some folks see equipment—me? I see freedom. These tools let me chase dreams, paint murals, speak truth, and meet beautiful souls across the world.
This life doesn’t always come easy. Accessibility is still a battle. Some days take more grit than others. But grace shows up—every time. And when it doesn’t? I show up for myself.
What Keeps Me Going
It’s not luck. It’s not superpowers. It’s God.
I lean into Him when my body is tired. I pray when doors won’t open. And I praise—especially when they do. My walk with God isn’t just spiritual—it’s literal. Every move I make is by His design, and I trust that. Fully.
So if you’re reading this, wondering if you’re “enough” as you are—hear me loud and clear: you are. God doesn’t make mistakes. Your path might look different, but that’s because it’s yours. Walk it. Roll it. Paint it. Claim it.
Final Word?
I was never meant to blend in. I was born to stand out—and sit tall while doing it.
