Making your own rainbow jar with minimal art supplies
I found this neat craft on Pinterest and thought ‘hey, this would be easy to make.’ I went to the Dollar Store to pick up most of the supplies, and the craft store to find anything that I couldn’t see at the other store. I will be selling these jars at the music festival, Harvest, at the end of September. Shoot me an email if you have questions, melissa.divietri@gmail.com
Materials Needed:
– Tacky Glue
– Sponge Brush
– Tissue Paper
– 1/2 pint of empty jars
– scissors
– newspaper
Cut a strip of tissue paper to begin using for the collage
Cut the tissue paper into small shapes and mix the colors into a pile
Spread tacky glue on the sponge brush
Apply the glue to the jar & place the tissue paper on the tacky glue
Add multiple layers of the tissue paper to cover any openings from the jar.
Boom! DIY Jar Art
Look at how sweet these jars look at night! Glowing!
Tip: Buy 4 candles for $1 at the Dollar Store
TIP: After a bit of searching in the dollar store, I found that using regular glue will work just as great. Apply the glue generously across the jar & press the tissue paper onto the jar. Very cost effective vs tacky glue.
