Put Your Hands Up For Detroit – I love this city

On Saturday, I rode the people mover in Detroit, Michigan to experience different aspects of the city. At every stop, you can tell from the citizens who are getting on and off the carts will be going to certain places. Art filled the city; on the buildings, parking structures, pathways… there was art everywhere.

When our cart arrived at the first stop, the people mover pulled into Greektown! As soon as the doors opened, the passengers on the train yelled “Oppaaa!” I looked at my girlfriend and niece & smiled.. haha That was great.. This is my first experience riding the people mover and it was squished like sardines.

As we zipped around the city, we stopped at financial district, Joe Louis Arena and other hidden gems.

There are many great things to discover about this city and there are also places to stay clear of. I went downtown to grab a bite to eat and the energy was incredible. There is a lot to do in certain areas, try to grab a movie, go see a show or enjoy the citizens of the city.

I am looking forward to being back in the city so I can make a significant difference in the lives of Detroit. Everyone needs a helping hand, maybe a couple smiles will do the trick, too!
