Remember the days when I was called, “DJ MISSYDI” — because I hosted a few weekly radio shows during college at Ferris State University? I was SO involved that at one point, I was even the studio manager for the radio organization, Bulldog Radio. I created the logo, implemented procedures in the studio and developed a presence on campus for our radio DJs.
I would live-stream my radio shows by broadcasting a video link for internet viewers and local students could tune in by changing their TV to a certain channel on their campus TV. I was actively involved in the radio station for almost 5 years. I had special guests who would call in, DJS from around the globe sending their mixes and such.
By creating a weekly mix to share on my blog; I am opening doors back into the music industry – live stream especially. I am working on getting my gear up to par so I can stream live each week. I need to research how to activate my sound car on my iMac and setting up a brand on a live streaming program. Here is a recap of my current playlist featuring my top 10 songs for this week. I created this mix to reflect my taste in music – I very much LOVE electronica – but I have been a sucker for DEEP HOUSE for as long as I can remember. I literally turn on music for everything that I DO – getting ready in the morning, listening during my drive and playing while at the office & at home. So having a fresh mix is important to me because I don’t like overplaying things.
