Louisiana Book Signing with Melissa DiVietri & Oreo at Barnes & Noble Mandeville 🦞📚

Louisiana, we are coming your way! 🦞📚

I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be visiting Barnes & Noble Mandeville for a special book signing featuring my disability awareness books, inclusive storytelling, and service animal education with my sweet service animal, Oreo. This event is more than a signing. It is a chance to connect, learn, share stories, and celebrate representation in a space where every reader deserves to feel seen.

Event Details

📅 Date: Nov 15
⏰ Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
📍 Location: Barnes & Noble Mandeville
675 U.S. Hwy 190
Mandeville, LA 70471

This Louisiana stop is part of my mission to bring disability awareness, inclusion, and meaningful conversations into bookstores across the country. Through my books, I share stories that help children, families, educators, and communities better understand accessibility, service animals, and the importance of treating every person with kindness and respect.

What to Expect

Guests will have the opportunity to meet me, take photos, ask questions, and learn more about my books. Oreo will be joining me as well, helping create a beautiful conversation around service animals and why education matters so much in public spaces.

My work is rooted in purpose, advocacy, and heart. As a disabled author, artist, and speaker, I use storytelling to help people understand that each of us carries something unique. Whether our challenges are physical, emotional, invisible, or intellectual, we all have our own superpowers — and the world becomes better when we learn how to honor them.

Why This Event Matters

Bookstores are powerful community spaces. They hold stories, conversations, imagination, and opportunities for people to see themselves reflected on the shelves.

For me, this signing is about more than signing books. It is about creating visibility for disabled voices, helping families talk about disability with compassion, and reminding readers that accessibility belongs everywhere — including storytime, bookstores, schools, and everyday life.

Come Say Hello

I would love to meet local readers, families, educators, advocates, and anyone who believes in building a more inclusive world. Stop by Barnes & Noble Mandeville on Nov 15 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and come say hello to me and Oreo. 💙🐾

Together, we can keep creating conversations that make people feel welcomed, respected, and proud of who they are.
