Exploring Innovation at RehabWeek 2025: Adaptive Tech, Inclusion & Inspiration

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be attending RehabWeek 2025 in Chicago—an international hub for the latest in rehabilitation technology, research, and collaboration. This isn’t just a conference—it’s a space where engineers, clinicians, researchers, and advocates come together to shape the future of accessibility and independence.

As a differently abled artist and traveler, I’ll be arriving with a mission: to try out new adaptive products, skeleton suits, comfortable back liners, and so much more. I’m especially excited to see what new innovations are being developed for people who live life on wheels—products that focus not just on mobility, but on comfort, dignity, and expression.

Beyond the tech, RehabWeek is also a place to connect with passionate changemakers from around the globe. Whether it’s through deep conversations, hands-on demos, or moments of inspiration in the hallways, this event is about possibility.

Stay tuned as I share highlights from the experience—because when the right tools meet the right energy, anything is possible.

About Me:

I am Blue Eye Queen—creator, advocate, & builder who transforms life’s challenges into meaningful impact. Born with sacral agenesis, a rare condition affecting my spine & mobility, I navigate the world differently—but with clarity, purpose, & a deep sense of responsibility to help others feel seen. I am limited by mobility in the spine & feet.

As an artist, my abstract paintings reflect lived experience—each one carrying the weight of struggle & the light of survival. My work is raw, emotional, & intentional, designed to make people pause & feel. Art has become my way of translating pain into something honest & human, shared with collectors & communities around the world through both traditional & digital platforms.

I earned a Bachelor of Science for Engineering from Ferris State University, specializing in machinery, technology, design, & storytelling. Over the years, I’ve exp&ed into new territory as a bot builder for AI models & language learning tools, using technology to educate, support, & connect people on a broader scale.

I am currently seeking a role in marketing, ambassadorial work, or collaborative partnerships that intersect with robotics, exoskeletons, assistive technology, & AI. As someone living with a physical disability, I bring firsthand & experience & a passionate voice to the conversation around accessibility & innovation. My lived perspective allows me to authentically represent adaptive technologies to both users & broader audiences, bridging the gap between design & real-world application. I believe that storytelling, advocacy, & inclusive marketing play a vital role in helping people understand & how emerging technologies can transform lives. I am interested in trial of products & trade services.

Inspired by the groundbreaking developments showcased at RehabWeek—where rehabilitation science, clinical practice, & engineering innovation converge—I see incredible potential for collaboration with organizations pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in human mobility, neuro-rehabilitation, & wearable robotics. I’m excited about contributing to this movement by helping amplify awareness, build community trust, & share the emotional & functional impact of these tools in everyday life. Together, we can help make advanced rehabilitation technologies more visible, inclusive, & empowering for all. Contact me at PH: 313-646-8205.

This is more than a story—it’s a movement of humanity for persons with unique abilities. I’m honored, please contact melissa.divietri@gmail.com
