All Things Detroit – Greektown
My boyfriend and I went around the city of Detroit today to explore a bit of Greektown. We conveniently found cheap, $5 parking which was within walking distance of the casino, restaurant and bars.
After enjoying dinner at Fishbones, one of his favorite restaurants, because of the alligator voodoo. I personally do not like fish because I am allergic to shellfish, lobster and crab – basically everything delicious?
My friends invited me to attend the GoOn Music Festival at Niki’s Lounge – which was surprisingly a huge venue. I ran into some tenants who were moving out on s the 5th floor and they had some great advice. They said the old school elevator hasn’t worked in over 3 months to be careful LOL — So I endured the 30+ stairs towards the music festival venue. Bass, Beats, Coffee and music enthusiasts filled the lounge.
My boyfriend and I were a bit early so we decided to walk around Greektown fr a bit longer. Artists popped up there set-up shops with beautiful Detroit artwork. One of the artists has similar abstract paintings like my Detroit cityscape.. I took a quick photo to show the similarities, have a look!
As we walked down Greektown, even more artists were popping up! Check out this live painting –
